Precision Oncology Nurse Navigators

As a Navexio Precision Oncology Nurse Navigator, you will serve as a trusted guide for Navexio clients throughout their cancer journey while also contributing to Navexio’s broader efforts in advancing access to cutting-edge molecular diagnostics. You will provide personalized, high-touch support by accompanying clients to medical appointments (in-person where applicable), offering ongoing virtual support, and helping them understand and navigate clinical, logistical, and emotional aspects of care.
This is a flexible, hybrid role that combines high-touch patient navigation with opportunities to support diagnostic liaison activities, medical affairs initiatives, partnership development, and patient engagement efforts.
You will set your own availability and be engaged based on client needs and project-based activities aligned with your expertise and interests.

Client Support & Navigation
Provide individualized support to Navexio clients throughout their cancer journey
Prepare clients for upcoming medical appointments to ensure they are informed and confident
Attend and accompany clients to medical appointments (in-person or virtually)
Take detailed notes and help ensure key questions are addressed during consultations
Translate complex medical information into clear, understandable language for clients and caregivers
Post-Appointment Follow-Up
Develop clear, tailored summaries and action plans following appointments
Provide guidance on symptom management and supportive care
Identify and help mitigate barriers or delays in care
Communicate key updates to family members or caregivers (as requested)
Care Coordination & Diagnostic Liaison
Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, as appropriate
Serve as a diagnostic liaison to support both new and existing Navexio client engagements
Help facilitate access to advanced molecular and genomic testing by coordinating with laboratories, institutions, and care teams
Support logistics related to diagnostic workflows (e.g., sample coordination, test access, communication with labs where appropriate)
Assist in bridging communication between clients, care teams, and diagnostic partners
Medical Affairs & Patient Engagement Support (Flexible / Project-Based)
Contribute to Navexio’s advanced molecular diagnostics and precision oncology initiatives, where appropriate
Support patient education and engagement efforts, including helping clients understand biomarker testing and its implications
Participate in relationship-building with healthcare organizations, clinics, and institutions
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve patient access to innovative diagnostics and care pathways
Provide insights from frontline patient interactions to inform Navexio’s services and partnerships
Additional Contributions
Participate in ad hoc virtual consultations with clients
Support special projects, pilot initiatives, or new service offerings aligned with Navexio’s growth
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in patient navigation
Scope of Practice
The Precision Oncology Nurse Navigator plays a supportive and advocacy role and does not replace or interfere with the clinical direction of the client’s treating medical team. The focus is on empowering clients with clarity, coordination, and confidence in their care journey.

Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing in Ontario or British Columbia
Current professional liability insurance
Minimum 5 years of oncology nursing experience
Experience working within cancer treatment centres or hospital oncology settings, specializing in both clinical support and treatment administration
Strong understanding of cancer care pathways, diagnostics, and treatment modalities
Additional Assets (Strongly Preferred):
CAN certification in Oncology, de Souza Nurse Designation or other specialized oncology training
Experience or familiarity with molecular diagnostics, genomic testing, or biomarker-driven oncology care
Exposure to NGS testing, pathology workflows, or precision oncology approaches
Experience in care coordination, patient navigation, or case management
Interest in or experience supporting medical affairs, clinical partnerships, or patient engagement initiatives

The Molecular Diagnostics Liaison will play a critical role at the intersection of medical affairs, diagnostics, and stakeholder engagement. This individual will support existing accounts while actively identifying and developing new partnerships across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations in Canada.

Account Management & Support
Support and maintain relationships with existing clinical and institutional accounts
Serve as a key point of contact for partners, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and service
Facilitate ongoing engagement with stakeholders to support diagnostic adoption and utilization
Business Development
Identify, engage, and secure new accounts across hospitals, cancer centers, and private clinics
Develop and execute strategies to expand Navexio’s molecular diagnostics footprint in Canada
Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach with Navexio’s broader growth objectives
Partnership Development
Build and nurture relationships with Canadian healthcare organizations, institutions, and clinics
Engage key stakeholders including oncologists, pathologists, administrators, and diagnostic leaders
Represent Navexio in discussions related to advanced molecular testing and precision oncology
Medical & Scientific Engagement
Communicate the value and application of advanced molecular diagnostics in oncology
Support education and awareness of biomarker-driven testing and its role in treatment planning
Partner with internal experts to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment

Prior experience in oncology diagnostics, medical affairs, or healthcare sales
Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics, biomarker testing, and precision oncology
Demonstrated success in account management and/or business development
Established relationships with HCPs and stakeholders across hospitals, institutions, and clinics
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
Experience working within the Canadian healthcare system is strongly preferred
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
Experience working with advanced genomic testing platforms (e.g., NGS-based assays)
Background in oncology, pathology, or related scientific field
Familiarity with diagnostic workflows, lab partnerships, and sample logistics
