Frequently Asked Questions: Navexio Drug Access Navigation Services
-
Yes, Navexio can work with the Patient and their oncologist to identify treatments appropriate for them that are approved in their country, treatments that are approved but not indicated for their specific cancer type, and/or treatments that are experimental and not yet approved by health authorities.
-
Depending on the jurisdiction of where the Patient lives, oncologists usually can only prescribe what is available to them. The treatment may or may not be readily available, and it may or may not be paid for by the Patient’s healthcare system or insurance plan. Navexio can help Clients navigate the process to access treatments that may be provided to patients under patient support programs, special access programs, expanded access programs, or compassionate use programs direct from pharmaceutical companies.
-
In some circumstances, specific cancer drugs may only be approved in some countries and not the country where the Patient resides, or the drug may be approved for only some types of cancers and not for the Patient’s specific type of cancer. Navexio can help Clients navigate the process to access drugs under these circumstances that would be prescribed out-of-jurisdiction or off-label.
